Sleek lines and stylish design
Following substantial growth at HauCon A/S, one of the Nordic region’s biggest distributors of specialty products and technical solutions for construction companies, the company is now moving to larger, newly-built headquarters further down the road in Lystrup, outside Denmark’s second-largest city, Aarhus. Here, HOLMRIS B8 has had the pleasure of supplying the furniture for all 30 workplaces, four meeting rooms, the cafeteria and lounge areas.
The new building has primarily been created from the company’s own products, which means that it also serves as a showroom and reference building for the HauCon’s customers. The surroundings are therefore dominated by raw cement surfaces and dark tiles, complemented by stylish black furniture from HOLMRIS B8 that is softened by leather and textiles.
Workstations with Q20 tables and HÅG office chairs are located in large, open-plan offices, broken up by Quadro standing tables from Ergomade. These allow room for a quick meeting, or can be used by the company’s travelling sales staff.
Furniture with many potential uses
In the cafeteria, the emphasis has been placed on flexible furniture, so that the premises can also provide the setting for informal meetings or festive gatherings, such as and after work happy hour or a Christmas office party. The Stage modular boxes designed by Friis & Moltke, are used as benches that are easy to move around and can be used in different combinations. Leather cushions have been specially sewn for extra comfort.
Helle Trads, PA at HauCon and coordinator of the interior design project, says:
“When we were planning the interior design of our new headquarters, we started out with offers from five different furniture companies. The choice fell on HOLMRIS B8, as they were really good at listening to our wishes and translating them into specific solutions. They had lots of exciting ideas, and we have ended up with a functional and beautiful interior design that matches the building – and us.”
