Making a Hotel a Unique Meeting Place
In the heart of one of Sweden’s most beautiful cities, HOLMRIS B8 joined forces with Swedish architectural firm Tengbom to realize the elegant, new destination hotel Clarion Hotel Sundsvall – transforming a parking garage into a trendy meeting place.
In addition to offering 270 stylish rooms, Clarion Hotel Sundsvall was also designed to be the city’s new “living room”, where the public are welcome to meet without booking a room.
The hotel boasts a spa as well as an expansive rooftop terrace with a pool and sky bar overlooking the city’s rooftops and the winding Selångersån river. As an added appeal, the hotel’s two restaurants and conference facilities invite visitors to enjoy a lovely dinner or professional event.
Living Room Chic
The interior design of the new hotel in the Nordic Choice Hotel’s chain embraces the contrasts of airy and robust, horizontal and vertical, and pale Nordic colors and warm nuances. Natural materials, soft textiles, designer furniture and carefully selected lighting fixtures are combined to give the new hotel a “living room chic” ambience.
HOLMRIS B8 delivered and installed everything in the Clarion Hotel Sundsvall’s rooms, restaurants, sky bar, lounges and conference center – from furniture, carpets and curtains to lighting and joinery, including a custom made reception desk.
Clarion Hotel Sundsvall opened on September 1, 2021.
